International Peace Conference to Promote Love, Mercy and Interfaith Harmony in Brooklyn
Religious Scholars, Diplomats and Community Leaders from the U.S. and Abroad to Unite for a Dialogue Inspired by the Teachings of the Prophets
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK : Sufi Unity for International Solidarity, in collaboration with the Mainia Youth Forum, is set to host an International Peace Conference under the inspiring theme “Love and Mercy – The Message of All the Prophets (PBUH),” bringing together renowned Islamic scholars, interfaith leaders, diplomats, academics, and community representatives to promote peace, compassion, and mutual understanding.
The conference will take place on Saturday, July 25, at Jalsa, 786 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, New York, from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Organizers have announced that snacks and dinner will be served to all attendees following the program.
The event aims to highlight the universal values of love, mercy, justice, and peaceful coexistence that have been emphasized by all Prophets throughout history. According to the organizers, the conference will provide a platform for constructive dialogue among religious leaders, scholars, diplomats, and young people to strengthen interfaith cooperation and encourage a culture of peace in today’s increasingly diverse societies.
A distinguished lineup of internationally recognized speakers is expected to address the gathering. Among them are Dr. Seyyid Saifuddin Ahmed Al Hasani Al Maizbhandari, President of Sufi Unity for International Solidarity (USA); Ahmed Muhaiyadeen Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute; Mufti Sajjad Raza, Chairman of the American Muslim Advocacy Network; Shaykh Faisal Hamid Abdur-Razak, Founder and President of the Islamic Forum of Canada and Spiritual Leader of the Islamic Sunni Council of Canada; Sheikha Maryam Kabeer Faye, Senior Guide and Spiritual Teacher of The Wudud Society; and international speaker Sayeed Mashooq Main Al Din Al Hasan, who will deliver the opening address.
Other featured speakers include Azmain Asrar Maizbhandari, a PhD researcher at Western Michigan University; Qari Muhammad Farooq; Imam Bilal Khan, Khatib of Bilal Mosque, New Jersey; Sayeed Hamza Shah; Allama Sayed Jubayer Ahmed (MJA), President of Ahle Wal Jamaath USA; and renowned interfaith leader, author, and educator Michael Shevack.
The conference will also be attended by prominent community leaders and special guests, including Mohammed Lutful Karim, President of the Bangladesh Merchant Association of Brooklyn; Mohammed Shamsuddin Azad, President of the Chicago University Alumni Association (USA); Mohammed Nazrul Islam, former Vice President of the Bangladesh Society Inc.; businessman Moshef Hossain; guest speaker Allama Syed Mukarram Ali Al Hasan (RHU), Imam and Khatib of Ahlul Bayt Masjid; Gias Ahmed, President of JBBA New York USA; and Al Haj Mohammed Said Uddin, Secretary General of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat USA.
Organizers stated that the conference is designed to encourage meaningful discussions on how the timeless teachings of the Prophets can help address contemporary global challenges, including religious intolerance, social division, and violence. By bringing together leaders from different faiths and cultural backgrounds, the event seeks to foster mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation while reinforcing the shared values that unite humanity.
