Bernard Vaiselberg Raises Concerns Over Board of Elections’ Conduct, Seeks Media Scrutiny of Election Process
NEW YORK: Bernard Vaiselberg, a candidate in the June 23, 2026 primary election, has appealed to journalists and media organizations across the United States to investigate what he describes as serious concerns regarding the administration of the election and the conduct of the Board of Elections (BOE).
In a public statement, Vaiselberg expressed concern that the Board of Elections may not have fully complied with court orders and other legal obligations related to the election process. He said the issues he observed raise broader questions about election administration, ballot handling, vote counting, transparency, and the treatment of both candidates and voters.
Vaiselberg stated that, as a candidate, he witnessed these concerns firsthand and has collected documents and information that he believes deserve careful and independent examination. He emphasized that he is not asking the media to reach any predetermined conclusion but instead urged journalists to review the available evidence, examine official records, and determine whether the matter warrants further investigation.
“The public deserves confidence that election laws and court orders are followed and that election officials are held accountable whenever legitimate questions arise,” Vaiselberg said, stressing the importance of investigative journalism in promoting transparency and maintaining public trust in the democratic process.
He further stated that he is prepared to provide reporters with supporting documentation, including court filings, correspondence, and other records that he believes may assist in any independent review of the election.
Vaiselberg also noted that the fact a practice may have continued for years does not necessarily make it appropriate or lawful, urging greater public scrutiny of the election process.
The candidate concluded by thanking members of the media for their commitment to accountability and encouraged them to examine the issues thoroughly in the interest of transparency and public confidence.
