Welcome Care, Inc. Hosted First Community Health Fair in Brooklyn

Welcome Care, Inc., a licensed home health care agency with more than 22 years of experience, successfully hosted its first-ever Community Health Fair, providing valuable healthcare information, resources, and support services to local residents.

The event was held on Sunday, June 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the agency’s office located at 2336 86th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11214.

The community-focused health fair brought together healthcare professionals, insurance representatives, and home care specialists to help residents better understand available healthcare services and benefits. Representatives from Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) health insurance programs were present to provide information and answer questions regarding healthcare coverage and long-term care options.

According to the organizers, Welcome Care staff members and administrators were available throughout the event to address community concerns and offer guidance on home healthcare services. Attendees also received updated information about home care programs for senior citizens and children with autism.

A Medicaid specialist provided free consultations and assisted individuals seeking information about eligibility requirements, benefits, and available healthcare programs. In addition, licensed medical professionals conducted free health screenings, promoting preventive healthcare and overall wellness within the community.

To better serve Brooklyn’s diverse population, multilingual staff members were available to ensure effective communication and assistance for attendees from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Home attendants and caregivers were also encouraged to participate and learn more about professional resources and support services.

A special recognition ceremony was also held during the event to honor several of Welcome Care’s best-performing and longest-serving home care workers. The dedicated caregivers received special gift baskets from Welcome Care in appreciation of their commitment and years of service. They were also presented with Certificates of Recognition from. Senator Steve Chan and Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny for their outstanding contributions to the home healthcare profession and the community.

Organizers said the health fair reflected Welcome Care’s ongoing commitment to improving community health awareness and connecting residents with essential healthcare services. They expressed hope that the event would serve as a valuable platform for education, outreach, and community engagement.
