Assad Mujtaba Emphasizes Community Engagement in Clifton City Council Campaign
Building a stronger and more united Clifton through respect, service, and cooperation among people of all faiths, cultures, and backgrounds
CLIFTON, NJ: Clifton City Council candidate Dr. Assad Mujtaba emphasized that public service begins with being present among the people, listening to their concerns, respecting every community, and working together to build a stronger city.
Dr. Assad Mujtaba attended the Knights of Columbus Regina Mundi Council 3969 Summer Picnic on Sunday at St. John Kanty Church in Clifton, New Jersey, where he joined a large gathering of parishioners and community members.
The program was hosted by Dr. Rony Moise of the Filipino community, who warmly welcomed the guests. During the event, Dr. Assad Mujtaba, accompanied by longtime Clifton community advocate Dorothy Gillmore and John Torcano, met with church members and community residents and listened to their views and perspectives on local issues.
Dr. Mujtaba said Clifton’s greatest strength lies in its remarkable diversity, with people from different faiths, cultures, and backgrounds coming together as neighbors and working toward a better future for the city they call home.
He said a successful community is one where every resident is respected, represented, and given an opportunity to have their voice heard. According to Dr. Mujtaba, the responsibility of a public representative extends beyond an election campaign and includes being present in the community, understanding residents’ concerns, and responding to their priorities.
Dr. Mujtaba expressed his commitment to bringing Clifton’s diverse communities together, respecting the city’s religious and cultural diversity, and promoting unity and cooperation if elected to the Clifton City Council.
He said the principles of Community, Faith, Service, and Unity can serve as the foundation for a brighter future for Clifton, adding that his goal is to serve every community and ensure that all residents have a voice in the city’s future.
