Mawlid Parade to Be Held at Connecticut State Capitol on September 6

Minhaj-ul-Quran International USA to Organize Religious Gathering Featuring Quran Recitation, Naat and Durood-o-Salam

HARTFORD, CT: Minhaj-ul-Quran International USA will organize a special Mawlid Parade and religious program at the State Capitol Building in Hartford, Connecticut, on Sunday, September 6, 2026. The program will take place from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., according to the event announcement.
The organizers have invited families, friends and members of the Muslim community to participate in the gathering and join in commemorating the blessed occasion of Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ, honoring the birth and life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The event will feature a number of religious activities, including Tilawat-e-Quran, Naat and Durood-o-Salam. Organizers said the program would provide an opportunity for members of the community to come together in an atmosphere of faith, devotion and respect.
A major part of the gathering will be the raising of the flag in honor of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, with community members encouraged to attend the program with their families and friends. The organizers have also announced that food will be served to participants during the event.
The program is expected to bring together members of the Pakistani-American and broader Muslim community from Hartford and surrounding areas.
