Leaving CCM: A Note of thanks and gratitude from Jehangir Khattak

Dear friends and colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share that I will be leaving the Center for Community Media after many eventful and meaningful years. Since joining the Center in 2011, having served as Co-Director and Director of Communications, this journey has been one of the most defining chapters of my professional life.

What made this experience truly special and personal is not just the journalism support work I did during this time, but the wonderful people like your good self that I met and became good friends with. I consider it an honor and privilege to work for you, learn from you, and support your critical work as a CCM team member and leader. 

Over the years, my relationship with you grew beyond professional engagement into something far more impactful. Together, we’ve built a vibrant group of community journalists who are telling stories only we can tell. I am departing from my role with deep respect and admiration for this sector as a whole and for your incredible work in particular.

While I may be moving on from the Center, I am not moving away from this community. Please know that I remain connected and in the service of community media, and I will continue to support and champion community media wherever the next steps of my journey take me.
