California
September brought the start of a trio of wildfires to Southern California which caused tens of thousands of families to evacuate their homes. For the relief effort, the local government invited Tzu Chi USA volunteers to station at six Local Assistance Centers. |
Florida
The Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort (CCDRE) immediately responded to Florida residents impacted by Hurricane Debby by providing emergency clean up kits. They are now working in coordination with the Taylor County Strong LTRG and local Church of Christ churches in Taylor County to distribute furniture and appliances to those affected.
