NEW YORK : The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front North America is organizing a grand convention titled “Yaad-e-Maqbool” (Remembering Maqbool) on February 8, 2025, in the state of New Jersey, USA, to commemorate the 41st martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed-e-Kashmir Muhammad Maqbool Butt.
The convention will pay rich tributes to the life and sacrifices of Shaheed Maqbool Butt for the freedom movement of Kashmir. It will also reaffirm the commitment to continue the mission of Shaheed Maqbool Butt, “complete freedom and sovereignty of Jammu Kashmir,” under the platform of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, following in the footsteps of great resistance leaders like Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Supreme Head late Amanullah Khan, and millions of other martyrs.
A committee comprising senior leaders of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front North America, including Sardar Imtiaz Khan, Sardar Ashraf Gulshan, Raja Mukhtar, Sardar Wakeel Ahmed, and Haleem Khan, has been formed to oversee the arrangements of the convention. The committee members unanimously elected Sardar Imtiaz Khan as the Chairman and Raja Mukhtar as the General Secretary.
The committee members will reach out to all Kashmiri organizations, Kashmiri diaspora, and friends of Kashmir to invite them to participate in the convention. They will also issue progress reports through press notes.
