Pakistan’s air defense systems have successfully intercepted several drones attempting to enter or operate within sensitive regions, further heightening tensions along the India-Pakistan border.
Lahore
In Lahore, Pakistani forces shot down a drone early this morning as it flew over the Old Walton Airport. Sources indicate the drone was likely operated from across the border, used for reconnaissance of high-value sites.
The drone exploded upon impact, though no casualties were reported. Authorities are investigating whether the drone was part of a larger surveillance operation targeting sensitive locations in Lahore.
Gujranwala
In Gujranwala, two drones were shot down by Pakistan’s air defense systems, one in Solkhanabad and another in the Tokaan area of Wahand.
Both drones were intercepted before reaching their target locations. The wreckage has been seized by local security agencies for further forensic examination.
Ghotki: Drone crash kills one civilian
The most severe incident occurred in Ghotki’s border area of Khenjo, where a drone crashed late last night, killing one civilian and injuring another. The deceased was near the crash site when the drone came down, and the injured individual was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Local police and security forces have secured the wreckage for investigation. The incident has raised concerns about the increasing use of explosive-laden drones along the border.
Umerkot
Pakistan’s defense forces successfully shot down an Indian drone near Sufi Akbar village, located 5 kilometers from Chhor Cantt in Umerkot.
According to police sources, the drone was reportedly on a surveillance mission targeting sensitive areas. The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) intercepted and disabled the drone before it could cause any harm. The wreckage has been seized for further analysis, and investigations are ongoing.
Sheikhupura
In Sheikhupura, Pakistani air defense systems shot down another Indian drone near the village of Bahoman.
The drone crashed in an open field, far from residential areas, preventing any loss of life or property. Police and intelligence officials have collected the wreckage for investigation.
Karachi
Tensions in Karachi escalated further as another Indian drone crashed near Steel Town, shortly after a similar incident in Malir’s Sharafi Goth. Rawalpindi: Drone crashes Near cricket stadium
In Rawalpindi, a drone reportedly crashed near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, injuring two civilians.
According to police sources, the drone was suspected to be operated for surveillance purposes.
The crash caused partial damage to a nearby restaurant building adjacent to the stadium. Authorities have cordoned off the area, and investigations are ongoing to determine the origin of the drone and its payload.
The victims, who were in the vicinity, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Bahawalpur
In Bahawalpur, Pakistan’s defense forces have once again proven their readiness by shooting down an Indian drone in the Cholistan area

Attock: Civilian martyred
In a tragic development, another Indian drone crashed in the Jabi Kasran area of Attock, killing one civilian, according to police sources. The drone fell in an open area but struck a nearby individual, resulting in fatal injuries.
This incident raises the toll of civilians martyred in recent drone crashes to two.
Law enforcement agencies swiftly reached the site, secured the area, and took the drone wreckage into custody.
Nankana Sahib
In Nankana Sahib, Pakistan Army personnel successfully intercepted an Indian spy drone in the Dharwal area near Shahkot.
According to police officials, the drone crashed into agricultural fields. No casualties were reported. The Assistant Commissioner of Shahkot, along with a heavy contingent of police, reached the site immediately.
The wreckage has been taken into custody for investigation, confirmed the district administration spokesperson.
Zafarwal
Villagers in Zafarwal’s Tarapur area shot down an Indian drone suspected of spying across the border.
According to reports, the drone entered Pakistani territory during the night and was brought down by local residents.
The citizens quickly handed over the wreckage to security officials. Police sources say the drone was likely intended to assist in cross-border surveillance or illegal activities.
