| Councilmember Susan Zhuang welcomes the new CO of the 62 Precinct, and honors the work of the 62, 66, 68, and 72 precincts Yesterday’s National Night Out captured the spirit of Council District 43 — a diverse community dedicated to collaborating for a safe and welcoming community. At the 62 Precinct, the Councilmember shared that welcoming spirit with the new Commanding Officer for the 62 Precinct, Captain Mohammed S. Islam. “Our community knows the value in building trust and partnership with our local precincts. These officers spend every day on the ground of our communities, ensuring our safety,” said Councilmember Zhuang. “Having someone like Commanding Officer Capt. Islam leading one of our precincts is exciting and a demonstration of city leadership reflecting our diverse district.” Councilmember Zhuang presented the 62, 66, 68, and 72 precincts with City Council Citations, noting their partnership with the CD43 office and dedication to maintaining the community’s well-being.
