Community First Republicans Volunteer at Brooklyn Food Drive Ahead of Passover
Brooklyn, New York: In a show of grassroots community engagement, members of the Community First Republican Club joined efforts to support vulnerable residents through a food distribution and soup kitchen initiative in southern Brooklyn.
The volunteer drive was led by former Councilman Ari Kagan, alongside a team of dedicated club members, including Faina Vasilevsky, Anna Shpilkovskaya, Karen LichtBraun, Jeannine Cherichetti, and Arthur Rotshtein. The group partnered with Masbia Soup Kitchen Network at its Flatbush location to assist in pre-Passover preparations.
Volunteers helped distribute essential food packages and served freshly prepared kosher meals to dozens of local residents, many of whom rely on such services during the holiday season. The initiative aimed to ensure that families in need could observe Passover with dignity and adequate provisions.
In addition to volunteering their time, the club made a financial contribution to support Masbia’s ongoing operations. Members also encouraged the wider community to back the organization, which plays a vital role in assisting thousands of low-income New Yorkers year-round.
Organizers described the effort as a reflection of the club’s commitment to prioritizing community welfare and fostering unity through service.
