Dr. Ali Kocak Advances Strategic Partnerships During Productive Visit to Türkiye

Ankara, Türkiye — Dr. Ali Kocak, representing the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI), concluded a highly successful visit to Türkiye, holding a series of high-level meetings to strengthen collaboration among Türkiye, Pakistan, and the United States in the fields of trade, healthcare, education, and investment.

During his meetings, TACCI Advisory Board Members Dr. Zeliha Kocak Tufan and Ms. Pinar Ayhan joined Dr. Kocak, contributing to discussions and advancing TACCI’s mission of expanding international cooperation through strategic partnerships.Throughout the visit, Dr. Kocak met with several senior government officials, including Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Levent Gümrükcü, and Deputy Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Nurullah Okumuş. The meetings focused on identifying areas of trilateral cooperation and enhancing ties in trade, healthcare, and innovation between Türkiye, Pakistan, and the United States.

Dr. Kocak also met with Dr. Mehmet Altuğ, President of the Board of Trustees of Lokman Hekim University, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Gültekin, University President. Discussions centered on expanding collaboration in halal certification education and medical tourism, with a focus on developing academic programs, professional training, and exchange opportunities that align with international standards.

In addition, Dr. Kocak held talks with the Board of Trustees of Bilkent University Hospital, one of Türkiye’s largest and most advanced medical institutions, to explore deeper cooperation in medical tourism and healthcare between Türkiye, Pakistan, and the United States.

Furthermore, Dr. Kocak met with Halil İbrahim Yılmaz, President of the City Council of Ankara, the President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and the President of the Medical Tourism Division of TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye) — Türkiye’s national umbrella organization for commerce and industry. These meetings focused on organizing a delegation of business and chamber leaders from Pakistan and the United States to visit Türkiye, particularly Ankara, to explore new opportunities for trade, investment, and collaboration.

Overall, Dr. Kocak’s visit marked a significant milestone in TACCI’s ongoing efforts to build sustainable bridges in trade, healthcare, and education among Türkiye, Pakistan, and the United States — with halal certification and medical tourism identified as key areas for future cooperation and shared growth.
