DOI250AA announced that it will hold a DOI250 celebration in Philadelphia on September 5-6.
Foreword : On December 5, 2023, over 80 Chinese American community organizations held a national convention on Capitol Hill to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the repeal of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. The event was a resounding success thanks to the strong support of many Chinese Americans. Now, we, the volunteers of the Chinese American community, are gathering again in Philadelphia for the DO250AA Asian American Celebration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence . We will take photos in front of Independence Hall, reenact the signing ceremony of the Declaration of Independence, and once again celebrate this historic moment together! Please register as soon as possible to enjoy a special offer from the Sonesta Philadelphia Hotel: only $139 per night!

A historic group photo taken in front of the Independence Hall – a once-in-a-lifetime event.
Following the commemorative ceremony on Sunday, September 6th, all participants will gather in front of Independence Hall, holding banners and American flags, for a large commemorative group photo. 250 years ago, the Declaration of Independence was adopted here. Today, we gather here again. This will be a once-in-a-lifetime historic opportunity—each participant will not only create a precious personal memory for themselves and their families, but also collectively create a historical record of the American people gathering in front of Independence Hall on the 250th anniversary of independence.
