PRESS RELEASE
Chantilly, VA — Virginia House of Delegates District 26 Republican nominee Ommair Butt recently hosted a high-energy fundraising event that drew an overflow crowd of supporters from Loudoun County, across Virginia, and from neighboring states including Maryland, West Virginia, New York, and Washington, D.C. The event, hosted by Carrie-Anne Mosley, former President of the Loudoun County Republican Women Committee, and emceed by Ken Reid, former Loudoun County Supervisor and Councilmember, highlighted Butt’s growing momentum and the way his campaign is resonating far beyond district lines.
Butt, a husband, father of two, and technology professional with nearly two decades of experience—including service as a civilian contractor with the U.S. Army, Navy, and Department of Homeland Security—has long been active as a community and interfaith leader.
With Virginia’s future direction and control of the House of Delegates majority at stake, Ommair Butt has positioned himself as more than a candidate—he is stepping into the role of a statesman. His vision extends beyond District 26, guided by a commitment to strengthen the entire Commonwealth. While running his own campaign, Butt has also worked alongside fellow Republican Delegate candidates to help secure the majority needed to advance policies that protect and strengthen Virginians—demonstrating a leadership style rooted in service rather than self-interest.
Leaders Commend Butt’s Service and Leadership
Special guest speakers praised Butt’s years of service as a community and interfaith leader, noting his record of raising common concerns and uniting people across backgrounds.
“Ommair has been a voice for families, parents, and neighborhoods for years,” said one speaker. “He treats all communities with the same love and compassion, and that’s why he is respected and loved by everyone—regardless of background.”
Speakers also highlighted Butt’s grassroots and political experience, stressing that he has “earned the respect of leaders across Virginia” through his commitment to public service.
Endorsements From Virginia’s Top Leaders
Butt’s growing influence has been recognized at the highest levels of state leadership, as well as by prominent Indian American leaders.
Governor Glenn Youngkin, who personally called Butt days before the fundraiser, praised his hard work, strategic planning, and tireless campaigning while offering his endorsement.
Attorney General Jason Miyares, who met with Butt earlier this month, praised his community advocacy and likewise endorsed his candidacy.
Lt. Governor Winsome Earl Sears, who has met with Butt on multiple occasions, has acknowledged his community leadership and compassion across diverse communities.
Dr. Srilekha Reddy Palle, Chairwoman of the Virginia Asian Advisory Board, Senior Executive at the American Hindu Coalition, and Past President of the Hindu Durga Temple of Virginia.
Together, these endorsements underscore that Butt is respected not only in his district but across Virginia as a unifier who can help guide the Commonwealth toward lasting progress.
“For me, leadership is not about personal advancement,” Butt said. “It is about uniting communities, protecting families, and ensuring that every Virginian has the opportunity to thrive.”

The fundraiser featured an impressive lineup of leaders and officials, including:
• Geary Higgins, Virginia State Delegate, District 30

A Campaign Fueled by People, Powered by Purpose
The event generated record contributions, with donations flowing not only from Virginians but from supporters across the East Coast. Media outlets covering the event noted Butt’s strong backing among Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Latino communities, calling his candidacy a movement for unity, family values, and positive change.
If elected, Butt would make history as the first Virginia State Delegate of American-Pakistani heritage. His campaign, however, is focused on issues that matter to every Virginian, including:
• Parental rights restored — because parents, not government, know what’s best for their kids.
• World-class education — ensuring every child has a brighter future.
• Privacy and safety first — with separate bathrooms and locker rooms.
• Fair play for girls — no boys in girls sports.
• Safer neighborhoods — protect home values by burying power lines underground.
• More high-paying jobs — careers created in the community.
• Lower family costs — end the car tax and ease everyday expenses.
• Secure schools and places of worship — with dedicated SROs and protection from gun violence and terrorism.
“I’ve always believed that to bring positive change in society, one must step forward and take part in politics,” Butt told the crowd. “This campaign is not about me—it is about us, our families, and the future we can build together.”
With early voting beginning September 19 and Election Day on November 4, Butt urged all residents to get involved and make their voices heard. He reminded everyone that the best way to make a change is to take part in the change. “I’m doing my part,” Butt said, “and I encourage everyone to do your part—VOTE, VOLUNTEER & DONATE at OmmairForVA.com.”
Recognizing the Team Behind the Campaign
Butt also expressed his gratitude to the dedicated team working tirelessly behind the scenes to power his campaign. He thanked his Campaign Manager, Jim, and senior advisers including Ken Reid, former Loudoun County Supervisor and Councilman; Eugene Delgaudio, former Loudoun County Supervisor; and Valerie Osborne, who previously managed Mike Clancy’s congressional campaign. He also expressed deep gratitude to Carrie-Anne and Matt Mosley for graciously and generously hosting the fundraiser at their home.
He gave a special THANK YOU to “Bill Howell”, former Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, for his
guidance and encouragement throughout the campaign
