University of Lahore Inaugurated State-of-the-Art Medical Laboratory to Strengthen Healthcare Education
New UIMLT Facility Enhanced Practical Training, Research Capacity, and Innovation in Medical Laboratory Sciences
LAHORE : The University Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology (UIMLT), operating under the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences at the , inaugurated a new state-of-the-art medical laboratory in a landmark step aimed at strengthening medical laboratory education, research, and professional training.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by prominent members of the University’s leadership, including Mr. Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors; Mr. Uzair Raoof, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, Rector of the University of Lahore; Prof. Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences; and Dr. Hayat Khan, Head of the University Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology.
The newly established laboratory was designed to provide students with advanced practical training in modern diagnostic and laboratory techniques. Equipped with contemporary technology and scientific resources, the facility is expected to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, enabling students to develop the technical expertise required in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare and biomedical sectors.
