The Consul General of Pakistan participated in a summer gathering hosted by the International Affairs Team of the Mayor’s Office. The event was organized to formally bid farewell to the outgoing Commissioner, Mr. Edward Mermelstein, and extend a warm welcome to the incoming Commissioner, Ms. Aissata Camara.
In his remarks, the Consul General congratulated Commissioner Camara on her new role and wished her a highly successful tour of duty. He also paid tribute to Mr. Mermelstein for his dynamic leadership and contributions to strengthening New York City’s international outreach.
On the occasion, the Consul General expressed confidence that the already existing excellent cooperation between the Consulate General of Pakistan and the International Affairs Team of the Mayor’s Office will continue to grow under the new leadership. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Consulate to deepening engagement with the City of New York in matters of mutual interest and global collaboration.
